Sun-Spell @ Olczak Group + Olczak Build
Sun-Spell, a photography exhibition bringing together 20 Bay Area artists, curated by Race Dillon and Jonah Reenders.
Sun-Spell, a phrase coined by Walt Whitman to describe the hypnotic, dreamlike clarity of sunlight, explores photography’s unique ability to transform the familiar into something uncanny, poetic, and revelatory. Working across a range of photographic processes, subjects, and conceptual approaches, the artists in the exhibition explore our relationship to both the natural and constructed landscape, considering how these spaces influence perception, memory, and belonging.
The opening reception will be held on June 20 at 5:00 PM at Olczak Group, 3308 Adeline Street, Berkeley, CA. Refreshments will be provided by Hoi Polloi, with tacos from Goodtimes Oakland.
