Somatic Potluck & Gathering @ Berkeley Art Center
Join us for a community convening focused on somatic practices in the visual arts.
In April, the Berkeley Art Center will launch the Open Center, expanding how we use our space beyond traditional gallery exhibitions. The Open Center will serve as a hub where ideas, artists, and community intersect, offering opportunities for interdisciplinary, intercultural, and inter-philosophical dialogue, reflection, and activation.
OPEN CENTER: Somatic Potluck & Gathering
Join us for a community convening focused on somatic practices in the visual arts. The gathering will be a moment to exchange ideas, have rich conversations, and share a meal. At the heart of somatic work is a mission to heal and connect with others; it can create community. We feel this is really needed in the often chaotic and uncertain times we are living in. This community event will be facilitated by Trina Michelle Robinson.
Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share (please include ingredients).
RSVP not required but appreciated.
Free and open to all.
Donations are welcome.*
Suggested donation $10-$25. Let’s envision the arts ecosystem together, where art and community flourish side by side. Your support matters!
This community event is part of Berkeley Art Center's new initiative, Open Center: Artists & Community, and features programming selected through an open call to support community-engaged art and dialogue.
