Legacies of Publishing and Library Interventions at SFAI @ SFMOMA

Join David Senior, SFMOMA director of library, and Becky Alexander, archivist/librarian at the SFAI Legacy Foundation and Archive, for a dive into some of the exciting books and ephemera by San Francisco Art Institute faculty and alumni featured in the exhibition People Make This Place: SFAI Stories. These materials drawn from the school’s archive and the museum’s library illustrate a paper trail of experimental exhibition making and community building at the school. Alexander and Senior will highlight continued efforts at collection building in this area and share objects from artists with diverse practices and rich local and cultural significance. Alexander will also explore how the SFAI library was a site for performance and art interventions throughout the school’s history.
