Salt of the Earth - Artist Talk with Barbara Boissevain @ Hazel Wolf Gallery

  • Hazel Wolf Gallery 2150 Allston Way Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

Artist Barbara Boissevain and Dr. Nicole Ardoin discuss the ongoing restoration of the South Bay and the intersections of art and science.

Join us on Friday, January 16 at the David Brower Center in Downtown Berkeley for an evening with photographer Barbara Boissevain and Nicole Ardoin, Associate Professor of Environmental Social Sciences and Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment. Together, they will explore how art and environmental science intersect to inspire meaningful shifts in human behavior.

The conversation will focus on Barbara’s book Salt of the Earth, which documents the ongoing restoration of the South San Francisco Bay as former industrial salt ponds are transformed into thriving wetlands. Enjoy the accompanying exhibition in the gallery and learn how powerful visual storytelling can inspire people to feel more connected to the landscapes around them.
