Rebellion: Artist Talk with Deborah Oropallo & Andy Rappaport @ TnT Art Lab

This week, the Inaugural Meet the Moment International Video Art Festival brings moving image works into storefronts, reclaimed buildings, and the streets of San Francisco’s Mid-Market and Yerba Buena districts. The festival opens with this conversation and continues through the weekend with installations and public programs that explore art’s capacity to confront, connect, and mobilize.

Oropallo and Rappaport will discuss REBELLION, their collaborative audiovisual work depicting protesters across the United States and around the world. The work brings the imagery and sounds of dissent together in an immersive encounter, and considers protest as both a political act and a collective visual language. Hear from the artists about how they made it, and about the relationship between moving images, sound, and resistance.
