Each fall, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program invites the public to explore its stunning 583-acre property through our popular Guided Art Hikes—a rare opportunity to witness the intersection of art and nature in one of the Bay Area’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Over the course of a 3-hour, 3.5-mile hike, participants are guided in small groups along a trail that winds through redwood forests, open meadows, and scenic vistas. Along the way, you’ll encounter more than 40 site-specific sculptures and installations, created by past Djerassi artists-in-residence over the past 40+ years. Each piece reveals a story of creativity, connection to place, and the ongoing dialogue between artists and the land.
These hikes are not just walks—they’re immersive experiences, offering a deepened appreciation for the natural world and the artistic expressions it inspires. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker, art lover, or simply curious, these guided walks offer a unique way to engage with landscape and legacy.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of Djerassi Program’s land and art!
