Hit Factory Gallery presents Sometimes A Portal Opens, a solo-exhibition featuring the work of Josie Licavoli.

Josie Licavoli is a painter and art educator from the Bay Area. In her oil painting practice, Josie explores the symbiotic relationship between femininity, corporeality and nature. Her work is rooted to her Filipino ancestry and her experience growing and living on the California coast. She graduated with a degree in Arts Education and Studio Art from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2022, and since returning to the Bay has dedicated herself in making the arts more accessible to a varying range of communities within San Francisco. She currently is a Teaching Artist at SCRAP and part time studio assistant at Hospitality House Community Arts Program.
