We are delighted to present David Sneider, founder of Lit Protocol, for this gathering of The Ideas Salon, a contemporary forum for insight. The evening will explore the implications of recent technological advancements on privacy in the age of AI.
What is Lit Protocol, and why does it matter?
Think of the internet today as a place where everything you do (your photos, money, messages... your “digital self”) is kept in someone else’s house (Google, Apple, Meta, etc.). You can use your things there, but ultimately they hold the keys. Lit Protocol aims to change that.
Sneider’s project seeks to give you your own keys, and make those keys smart and shareable, so that you and your AI agents can act safely on your behalf without needing to trust a big company.
In essence, Lit is building a secure substrate for the next generation of agentic systems (autonomous digital helpers) operating across the decentralized web.

The Ideas Salon is a new forum for insight, a gathering of curious minds to meet at the intersection of technology, art, and urgent cultural matters. Each session convenes a small circle of thinkers, makers, and advocates around a single conversation that asks: what is happening and why does it matter?
The format is simple: food, fellowship, and a spirited exchange of ideas. The series brings together voices shaping new realities, from AI pioneers and philosophers to artists, builders, and skeptics.
Hosted at Discourse, a non-profit space for civic imagination in SoMa, whose mission is to create affordable space for the exchange of ideas in San Francisco. Discourse is supported by Art for Civil Discourse a non-profit foundation with a focus on creating conversations through artistic works and support for the creative spirit.
