500 Capp Street’s newest archive show in the Paule Anglim Archive room.
Pairing well with Catherine Wagner’s current show, Blue Reverie, the archival show is titled Blue Extraction. 500 Capp Street pulled ephemera and work from David Ireland’s collection, intimately and mundanely capturing the color blue through handwritten letters, travel receipts, photographs, and original artworks. Through tracing the color blue through David’s archive, we uncover, interrogate, and reflect on his lesser-known history with colonial extraction.
