Beginners: A Miniature Group Exhibition — Closing Reception @ Slash

Join us for the closing reception of Beginners, the first exhibition curated by Jam for their project, Sagebrush Creativity Altar, a miniature art gallery inside of a repurposed newspaper box. Beginners gathers 40 artworks by artists ranging from working professionals with decades of experience to new artists creating art for the first time (four of the artists are under 10 years old).

Before Sagebrush embarks on its next journey, join us in celebrating creativity and whatever the act brings to each of us. The closing reception will be accompanied by a musical performance by Medynz, who will be spinning up ambient ancestral healing vibes for the evening. They offer a sonic epilogue, an invitation to linger, reflect, and experience the space one final time through sound.

Medynz is a Bay Area-based curator and selector exploring how sound shapes our experience of space, memory, and emotion. Blending ambient, dream pop, left-field electronic, and experimental music, their sets unfold as slow-building sonic narratives inspired by contemporary art and listening-bar culture.
