Summer Symposium @ Bathers Library
Editor’s Pick
“Bathers Library, downtown Oakland’s self-described “weirdo art school,” spills across the city for five days of readings, workshops, screenings, and collective experiments. Highlights include Amy Berkowitz on collaborative poetry, Lydia Wei on new erotics, Sophia Dahlin on writing someone else’s poem, and Humphrey Obuobi on the fine art of sticking shit on street poles. Less conference than temporary art school, it’s a lively snapshot of Oakland culture being made in public.”
