In Quiet, a new photographic series by Harry Williams Jr. opening at Little Raven Gallery.
The series was created over two years inside the deteriorating bathroom of a once-loved San Francisco home. The house was eventually taken by the bank, occupied by squatters, cleared out, and demolished.
More than forty people entered this same room—athletes, dancers, artists, activists, lovers, and people carrying grief. Each person used the space differently: to be still, to perform, to protest, to express love, or simply to reveal something private. Over time, the room became a place where people could take up space and be fully present—not as roles imposed upon them, but as themselves.
