Edward Weston & Family… A California Road Trip @ CornerShop Sausalito Gallery
Opening Party
August 9
3:00-5:00pm
Few figures loom larger in the history of American photography than EDWARD WESTON (1886-1958).
Widely regarded as one of the masters of twentieth-century photography, Weston helped define the modern photographic movement through his precise, deeply observed images of landscapes, natural forms, and everyday objects.
California served as both Weston's home and enduring muse. While Point Lobos became one of his most celebrated subjects, Weston also photographed throughout Marin County, creating memorable images of the region's coastline, pastoral landscapes, and natural beauty. His photographs of Northern California helped establish a distinctly West Coast vision of modern photography-one rooted in place, light, and an intimate connection to the landscape.
Come by and visit the Black-and-white still lifes and landscapes from California, photographed across four generations of the Weston family-a rare exploration of artistic inheritance, place, and vision.
